As time passed, most of the brute strength tasks of the horse were taken over by machines. But something important was lost in that transition from living creatures to metal. A horse is more than a machine. Relationships that formed between man and horse as they worked together can never be replicated by machinery.
Horsestory III covers the years from the late 1920s to modern times. While horses still served in a limited capacity in war and work, a shift occurred to more recreational roles.
